CANTON, Ohio (News Talk 1480 WHBC) – She pulled off the only real upset of the night in Stark County.
Democrat Krista Allison will represent the 49th State House District in Columbus starting in January, defeating the incumbent Republican Jim Thomas.
It’s a district that has gone back and forth from Republican to Democrat and so forth.
Allison says she was successful because her campaign spread the word about unity and hope.
She took 55% of the vote, saying she’s humbled by the voters’ response.
